Search Warrant Leads to Drug Arrest

Police on Tuesday arrested two people following numerous complaints of drug sales out of an apartment in the Robert Gabriel Apartments.

On Tuesday July 12th the KWPD Special Investigations Unit along with assistance from Homeland Security Investigations, Customs and Border Patrol, and the Drug Enforcement Agency, executed a search warrant at 320 Angela Street.

Upon entry, officers encountered Jerome Sanders, Jr., 36, who had two active arrest warrants for the sale of cocaine and a warrant for failure to appear, and Aryshaun Bryant, 25. The occupant of the apartment and her young son were also present.

The search uncovered over 7 grams of crack cocaine, 14 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and several baggies bearing residual powder cocaine.

Bryant was arrested for possession of marijuana less than 20 grams, and two counts of drug paraphernalia. In addition to the three warrants, Sanders was charged with possession of cocaine.
