Schooner Wharf After Parade Party – April 25th 9 p.m.

Be a Conch Republic patriot and join the annual Independence March to the Sea at Schooner Wharf Bar on Thursday, April 25th.

Live music by the hand clappin’ foot steppin’ Nick Brownell starts at 7 pm, joining Nick after the parade are the Raven Cooper Band rockin’ the house!

Costume and float prizes will be given at the Awards Ceremony for “Best Conch-cept”, “Most Original” and the “Most Creative” parade participants. Prizes include Schooner Wharf Bar gift certificates, Pilar Rum, water adventures courtesy of Sebago Watersports, Spirit of Independence, Schooner America 2.0, Cruisin’ Tikis and Sunset Watersports!

Show your allegiance to the Conch Republic flag. Everyone is welcome to don a pirate costume, or Schooner Wharf Tee and join the Schooner Wharf float in the parade – meet us at the corner of South Street and Duval.  The parade starts at 8:00 p.m.

Schooner Wharf Victory Party and Surrender Ceremony – April 26th 9 p.m.

Join your Conch Republic comrades-in-arms at Schooner Wharf Bar for the annual Conch Republic Naval Parade and Great Battle Surrender Ceremony, Friday, April 26th at Schooner Wharf Bar.

The U.S. Border Patrol will infiltrate the Conch Republic, and all able bodies are commanded to load up on ammunition (wet Cuban bread) and stand their ground against the advancing troops in Key West Harbor.

Let freedom ring with the bread you fling!

Suit up in your battle fatigues (foul weather gear) and prepare for the big surrender to the Conch Republic.

Then retrieve your wounded comrades and make your war-weary way to Schooner Wharf Bar for the Victory Party and Surrender Ceremony at 9 p.m. Or come in at 7 to enjoy the classic rock and jammin’ current favorites performed by the Andy Westcott Band

Schooner Wharf Pirates’ Ball and Costume Competition April 27th 7 p.m.

The Pirates Ball and Costume Competition is at Schooner Wharf on Saturday, April 27th.  Festivities start at 7 pm with sword play, swashbuckling, sea chanties and a welcome announcement by Key West’s own band of pyrates, The Conch Republic Privateers.  The troupe is in full pirate garb and provide engaging antics and entertainment.

There will be a Costume Contest, with 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes for Best Wench and Best Buccaneer.  There will also be a prize awarded for Best Bustier and Cutthroat Surprise.  The Conch Republic Privateers will walk around in the crowd and sign up contestants around 7:45 p.m. and go until about 8:45 p.m. Contest will start around 9 p.m.

Schooner Wharf Wrecker’s Cup Race 1 p.m. & Awards Party & Ceremony April 28th 7 p.m.

The final race of the 39th Annual Schooner Wharf Bar Wrecker’s Cup Race Series is here, when captains, crews and passengers race the seven miles to Sand Key on an annual quest for bragging rights on this small island.

The “day of wreckoning” is Sunday, April 28th, at 1:00 p.m. when ships in six different classes will reenact the times in Key West history when wreckers would race to a disabled ship, rescue the crew and then lay claim to the cargo.

Join your friends, captains and mates for a day of rivalry on the high seas.  Local and visiting yachtsmen are all welcome to join the fun. Classic, Schooner, Multihull, Monohull 40′ and Over, Monohull 30′ – 39′, Monohull 29′ and Under.

1st, 2nd & 3rd place will be awarded in each division.  Winners will receive bottles of Pusser’s Rum with a souvenir rum mug along with the trophies commemorating the victory, Schooner Wharf bar tabs and Wreckers Race Tee Shirts.

The entry fee is $40.00, which includes free rum punch and hors d’oeuvres at the Captains’ Meeting on Saturday, April 27th, at 7:00 p.m. in the Sail Loft at Schooner Wharf.
