SCHOOL BOARD SCHEDULED TO DISCUSS DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION BUDGET

WHO:   School Board Members, Executive Leadership Team, the Public; GEMs

 WHAT: Monroe County School officials will meet with District officials for a workshop to discuss options for testing calendar adjustments due to Hurricane Irma. Finance and Performance officials will discuss the Department of Education Budget and the Governor’s Budget in conjunction with the start of the Legislative Session in Tallahassee this week. Operations and Planning officials plan to issue a construction update to discuss progress on several projects in place across the District, including the construction of Plantation Key School, Stanley Switlik Elementary School, and Gerald Adams Elementary School.

School Board Members will vote on five action items during the regular meeting that include the Student Progression Plan, and the approval of the 2018-2019 Truth-in-Millage Calendar.
