Robert Douglas Plays the Hog’s Breath Saloon

Robert Douglas may look like a sweet, burly bear, but he might also be the best musician to go see if you’re out on a date in Key West. He plays the Hog’s Breath Saloon for four afternoons, 4:30 – 8:30 pm, Dec. 26 – 29.

His voice is sure to soothe, relax and put one in the mood. His nomenclature preference is “Southern-fried classic rock and blues,” which he certainly is and does, but he’s also much more than that. It’s easy to listen to him, from his soulful Bill Withers, to his crooning David Bowie, to the best rendition of Kenny Wayne Shepherd’s “Blue on Black” you’ve ever heard outside the original.

“I’m a bit of a chameleon with what I play,” he said. “I do a variety show.”
