Rescue Tails / The Shepherd Puppies & Their Families

Back in November of 2021, four adorable Shepherd/Husky-mix puppies were surrendered to our Marathon campus as part of an unwanted litter. The adorable three-month-old puppies were sent to foster with our experienced, seasoned foster mom extraordinaire Eadie, until they were old enough to be adopted. While in foster the two boys, and two girls, learned, played and grew until their adoption day arrived. We’ve recently received heartfelt updates and photos from each of the puppy parents to share with our readers.

Jenn and Grant let us know that Blanche is fitting in just perfectly with their family. They visit the dog park often, she has tons of new two- and four-legged friends and she is growing like crazy! She likes long walks, treats, and snuggling in bed at night.

Ahsoka’s family shared, “I wanted to send some pictures of Ahsoka. Her name was originally Dez, but we changed it. She is doing so well and we are all very happy.”

Ana wanted us to know that Kuzco, formally Bue, is adjusting wonderfully to their family. He loves playing with other dogs at the dog park and going for car rides. He is very energetic and enjoys running around the yard.

Sniper loves his new family as much as they love him. Especially their son, his furrever BFF!

Puppies are special, and the first few months of their lives are crucial for their development. When puppies come into the shelter, we place them with loving foster homes that provide for their physical, social and emotional needs. In foster, they receive the same loving care they would in a traditional home, until they can be adopted. As a foster parent, we provide everything you need to properly care for a puppy including food, supplies, vaccinations, medications and behavioral support. You provide safety, love, exercise, nutrition, socialization and positive training.
