Reef Relief sends a big thank you to the 17 volunteers that helped collect 152 lbs of marine debris this past weekend. In accordance with the International Coastal Cleanup Day, volunteers met on Saturday at Boca Chica Beach to help with the annual debris removal. The most common items found during the cleanup were plastic bottle caps, cigarettes, small pieces of plastic, and pieces of styrofoam. The group also collected a large quantity of ghost fishing gear.
