Presidents’ Day Weekend in Key West to be celebrated with “Give ‘Em Hell, Harry!” stage production and community picnic

In celebration of Presidents’ Day Weekend, The Key West Harry S. Truman Foundation is pleased to present “Give ‘Em Hell, Harry!” in its Key West, Florida, stage debut. Set for 4:00pm, Friday, February 18, the highly acclaimed and long-running production is to be staged outdoors on the grounds of the Harry S. Truman Little White House in Key West, and notably stars President Harry S. Truman’s own grandson Clifton Truman Daniel, an actor, humanitarian, news writer and editor, and the first direct descendant to portray a presidential ancestor in a stage production of this kind.

Seating will be arranged at well-spaced “bistro tables” to accommodate social distancing, with the performance, a faithful and often humorous portrayal of the 33rd U.S. President’s life and presidency, followed by a Q&A session and cash-bar cocktail party meet & greet with Mr. Daniel.

On Monday, February 21, Foundation members and the community are invited to enjoy the spacious Key West Little White House grounds with a lunchtime Presidents’ Day picnic. In traditional picnic style, hamburgers, veggie burgers, and hotdogs will be available for purchase. A cash bar will also be available.

February’s Presidents’ Day Weekend events are presented by The Key West Harry S. Truman Foundation with the support of the Monroe County Tourist Development Council. For tickets and information visit www.trumanlittlewhitehouse.org/foundation/events/.
