Presidential Descendants discuss “The Powerful Influence of the Presidency” at annual forum

A discussion forum among a panel of descendants of former U.S. Presidents at the Harry S. Truman Little White House in Key West on Saturday, Feb. 17, attracted a full house of some 150 attendees. Part of a multi-day “Presidential Families Weekend and Forum” presented by The Key West Harry S. Truman Foundation in partnership with The Society of Presidential Descendants, Dr. Kurt Graham, director of Independence, Missouri’s Harry S. Truman Library and Museum, served as moderator. Discussing the topic of “Political Maneuvering: The Powerful Influence of the Presidency” were, left to right: Clifton Truman Daniel, grandson of 33rd U.S. President Harry S. Truman; James Earl Carter IV, grandson of 39th U.S. President Jimmy Carter; Patricia Taft, great-granddaughter of 27TH U.S. President William H. Taft; Mary Jean Eisenhower, granddaughter of 34th U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower; and Massee McKinley, great-great grandson of 22nd and 24th U.S. President Grover Cleveland.
