Presents in Paradise announces Tropical Rockers Online Concert
Keys A-List Musicians to raise funds for local families at Christmas
(Marathon, Florida Keys) – A group of “Who’s Who” of local Keys musicians are joining forces to raise funds to make Christmas possible for local families. On Sunday, September 13 at 6:00 p.m., Terry Cassidy, Adrienne Z, Brian Roberts, Freddie Bye, and John Bartus will perform in a special Facebook Live Event to benefit local charity Presents in Paradise.
“We made Christmas happen for more than 340 kids last year,” said Sarah Brawer, one of the founders of Presents. “We might have somewhere between 500 and 700 kids to serve this year, and we really need some help from the community.”
The musicians are donating their time and talents, and the concert will feature special appearances by County Commissioner Michelle Coldiron, Tax Collector Sam Steele, Islamorada Mayor Mike Forster, and Marathon Mayor Steve Cook. As traditional fundraising events remain off-limits due to COVID, the online Facebook Live Concert format allows the community to come together, sing some songs, and lend a helping hand. “Until we can safely hold our regular events, this might be the only way we can raise funds to help kids at Christmas,” Sarah Brawer stated. “And the economic downturn pretty much guarantees we’ll have more demand this year.”

Presents in Paradise, a 501(c)3 Florida Non-Profit Corporation, has been taking care of Keys families since 2003, providing toys, clothing, and bicycles to island kids at no cost. 100% of money raised goes to buying toys and clothing for local kids.
