Key West Police Chief Sean Brandenburg is proud to announce the graduation of Lt. Joe Stockton and Sgt. Jesse Hammers from the Southern Police Institute’s 95th Command Officer’s Development Course.

This is a 400-hour flagship educational program for law enforcement’s mid to upper-level personnel, and provides the foundation for practical law enforcement administration as well as a comprehensive overview of management practices.

“This training assures a profound level of professionalism in our leadership,” said Chief Brandenburg. “It’s another way that we can provide the best service possible to our community. All of our command staff have completed either this advanced training or the FBI National Academy in Quantico.”

Lt. Stockton and Sgt. Hammers were among 56 officers from 33 agencies across the state who completed the intensive program.

The graduation ceremony was held June 12th in Doral. Deputy Chief Randy Smith and City Manager Al Childress were in attendance.
