NICK NORMAN PREMIERES NEW SINGLE WITH PUMP HOUSE RECORDS FOUNDER LEE BRICE, AND SPECIAL GUESTS JAMEY JOHNSON, REBECCA LYNN HOWARD, AND PRODUCER ELISHA HOFFMAN
Soulful songwriter debuts LP’s lead track, “The Cock Crows,” out now
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (October 9, 2020) — Nick Norman debuted his first label single, “The Cock Crows” — out now — during a Sessions Live special livestream event Wednesday night, alongside a slew of special guests and collaborators.
Introduced by longtime friend Lee Brice, Nick (the first artist signed to Lee’s artist development collective, Pump House Records) was backed by songwriter/producer/engineer Elisha Hoffman and musician Josh Matheny, with appearances by Rebecca Lynn Howard and Lee — who charmed viewers with a soulful performance of his platinum hit, “Rumor” — during the two-hour virtual show, streamed live from East Nashville’s Riverside Revival. Nick premiered “The Cock Crows” alongside special guest Jamey Johnson (whose vocals are featured on the French Quarter-esque rouser), and the impromptu supergroup treated thrilled fans to an extra hour of music and storytelling. Proceeds raised from the event will be donated to the Nikki Mitchell Foundation.

A South Carolina native who relocated to Key West in 2005, Nick’s mix of southern storytelling and Muscle Shoals-worthy groove has already earned a wildly dedicated following in Florida. Lee, award-winning songwriter Rob Hatch, and other champions of Nick’s music formed Pump House Records in 2019, creating a platform to transform Nick’s self-made success into a national, widespread movement. He signed a publishing deal with Fourward Music/Cock Crows Publishing in Aug. 2020.
