New Year’s Native Plant Sale at the Key West Tropical Forest

KEY WEST, Florida Keys – The plant Nursery at the Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden will be holding its monthly native plant sale from 9am to noon Saturday, January 15, 2022.  Master Gardener volunteers will be on site to help answer any plant questions.  At 1:00 pm the plant sale will be followed by the Garden’s Speaker Series with Misha McRAE, the Garden’s executive director speaking on “Then & Now: The 85 Year History of the Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden”.

There are 165 species of native plants available including Cuban palms, tomatoes and peppers, with an inventory totaling more than 2,000 plants attracting birds, butterflies and pollinators in 1-gallon to 10-gallon pots.  Key West Botanical Garden members receive a 15% discount.  The Garden is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation and all proceeds directly benefit the Garden’s conservation program.
