New K9 joins the Sheriff’s Office

The Sheriff’s Office K9 Deja will officially retire this week after 10 years of service and pass the torch on to newly hired K9 Coral. K9 Deja has served her community with honor and distinction and may now look back on her career proudly.

K9 Coral recognizes she has some big paws to fill, but we are confident that she is up for the challenge! Detective Matthew Corey will be K9 Coral’s handler.

Happy retirement to Deja as we expect it to be filled with belly rubs and treats! Though retired, K9 Deja will stay with her handler Detective Iscandel Perez.
