Native Plant Sale & Speaker Series at the Key West Tropical Forest

KEY WEST – The Nursery in the Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden will be offering native trees, shrubs and vines for sale Saturday, May 19th, from 9 am to 12 pm.  Choose from over 1,500 plants and 150 species of butterfly and bird attracting plants propagated by volunteers in sizes from one-gallon to 30-gallon pots.  Many of these plants are rare and endangered.   Key West Tropical Forest members receive a 15% discount. Memberships available on site.  All proceeds directly benefit the Tropical Forest’s conservation program.

At 1:30 pm, Harry Crissy, Community Resource Development agent with the University of Florida/IFAS Extension in Key West FL, will be the featured speaker in the Toppino Nature Chapel Pavillion.  The topic will be Soil Remediation in the Keys.
