More than 100 Local Contributors Power Haskell Campaign to Strong 1st Quarter Filing

Monica Haskell’s campaign for District 1 City Commissioner is off to a strong start, with 135 different supporters donating over $40,000 during the first quarter of 2024. An outpouring of local support has given the Haskell campaign more individual contributors than any candidate in Monroe County and the largest sum raised during the first quarter of 2024, according to records available on the Monroe County Supervisor of Elections website.

A financial report filed Monday for the January 1–March 31 reporting period shows the Haskell campaign received donations from 131 individual contributors and 4 businesses totaling $40,116. Monetary contributions accounted for $35,081, with an additional $5,035 in in-kind support. 116 of the 131 donors to the campaign have a local address.

“Local residents and businesses have been incredibly supportive of the campaign,” Haskell said. “They’ve contributed time, talent, and financial resources. Best of all, they’ve shared great ideas about how we can protect our history and plan for a sustainable future. I am honored to have their support.”
