MONROE COUNTY TO FOLLOW STATE IN ALLOWING BARS TO REOPEN MONDAY WITH STATE’S PHASE 2 RESTRICTIONS

MONROE COUNTY, FL – Monroe County is following the Department of Business and Professional Regulation’s order that allows bars to operate at 50 percent capacity provided there is only seated service and patrons are socially distanced starting on Monday, Sept. 14. There will be no additional protective measures placed on Monroe County bars at this time, but Emergency Management will continue to monitor the situation with Florida Department of Health officials. Monroe County bars still must follow Monroe County Ordinance 026-2020 that is still in effect regarding the wearing of facial coverings inside businesses. This order can be found at www.monroecountyem.com/COVID19. The municipalities may have additional COVID-19 protective measures in place.
