MONROE COUNTY SOLID WASTE CUDJOE KEY AND LONG KEY TRANSFER STATIONS CLOSED MONDAY 

MONROE COUNTY, FL – Monroe County Solid Waste’s Cudjoe Key and Long Key transfer stations in will be closed on Monday, Aug. 24 due to impending weather related to Tropical Storm Laura. Trash collection from the City of Layton through Key West is suspended on Monday. If your collection day is on Monday, please secure your trash and recyclable receptacles for pickup on your next scheduled day, normal service should resume on Tuesday.

As of right now, the Key Largo Transfer Station will remain open as Monroe County continues to monitor the storm. Monday collections from Mile Marker 68 north are still scheduled, but this could change based on Sunday’s forecast or if it is unsafe to do so on Monday.

Please secure all trash containers, yard debris, and décor, including toys, sports equipment, and lawn furniture by Sunday evening.
