MONROE COUNTY SELECTS KRISTEN LIVENGOOD AS NEXT PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICER
KEY WEST, FL – Kristen Livengood was chosen as the next Monroe County Public Information Officer by a five-person selection committee led by Monroe County Administrator Roman Gastesi.
Livengood starts Dec. 3, 2018 and will replace Cammy Clark. Livengood and Clark will work together in the position until Clark leaves in May to relocate to Hawaii. The extended overlap will allow for a thorough transition of duties and the completion of special projects.
Livengood was chosen from a pool of 18 applicants. She has worked for The Weekly Newspapers since 2006 as a writer and social media specialist. She also does administrative assistance work for the Sanctuary Friends Foundation of the Florida Keys and the Florida Keys Land and Sea Trust.
She is active in the community, serving on several boards and committees. They include: the Keys Federal Credit Union Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee, the Monroe County Planning Commission, the Monroe County Canal Restoration Subcommittee and the Florida Keys Hurricane Recovery Foundation Board of Directors.
Livengood graduated with honors from Marathon High School in 2002 and received her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications, News-Editorial from the University of South Florida in Tampa.
