MONROE COUNTY LAUNCHES NEW EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT WEBSITE and Alert
MONROE COUNTY, FL – Since Hurricane Irma, Monroe County has made some improvements for emergency public information in time for the 2018 tropical storm season.
New Monroe County Emergency Management website: www.monroecountyem.com
This one-stop website for storms and other emergencies in the Keys provides valuable information for you, your family and your business on preparedness and recovery. It also provides up-to-date information before, during and after an emergency event.
This website includes information about:
- Reentry stickers and where to obtain them: www.monroecountyem.com/
- New Placard Program for early reentry for emergency workers: www.monroecountyem.com/
- New volunteer Monroe Emergency Reserve Corps: www.monroecountyem.com/
- Special Needs Registry: www.monroecountyem.com/
The County also has launched the new Alert!Monroe. You can receive real-time emergency information directly to your phone via text, call or email. Sign up on the homepage of www.monroecountyem.com. This new system replaces the previous system, so please sign up for the improved Alert!Monroe. The old system, however, will remain in place for this hurricane season.
You also can sign up for non-emergency alerts on the new Alert!Monroe system.
