MONROE COUNTY FIRE RESCUES PUTS OUT MOTOR COACH FIRE ON STOCK ISLAND

STOCK ISLAND, FL – Monroe County Fire Rescue responded at about 3 a.m. Monday to a fire of a 2000 Fleetwood Motor Coach at Boyd’s Campground on Stock Island. No one was injured.

Firefighters from Stock Island, Big Coppitt Key, Sugarloaf Key and Cudjoe Key worked to quickly put out the blaze. The motor coach was a total loss. There also was minor damage to a nearby 2012 Jeep Wrangler.

The State and County Fire Marshals are investigating.
