
MCFR Chief RL Colina and the Monroe County Board of County Commissioners welcome Deputy Chief of Administration Marcos Osorio to Monroe County Fire Rescue.
MONROE COUNTY, FL – Monroe County Fire Rescue Chief RL Colina welcomes Marcos Osorio as the new Deputy Chief of Administration. Osorio comes to Monroe County Fire Rescue from Key Biscayne Fire Rescue with 32 years of experience in the fire service. He retired as their Deputy Chief of Administration and has a background in fire prevention, safety, disaster response, emergency operations, and public information.
Osorio is a State Fire Officer, Safety Officer, Incident Command Officer, Fire Safety Inspector, and nationally recognized Fire Public Information Officer. He recently received the Florida Fire Marshal of the Year award from the Florida Fire Chiefs’ Association. This award honored his efforts in fire prevention, public safety, and community outreach. He also has a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership from St. Thomas University.
