Monroe County Fire Rescue: Stock Island Catamaran Fire
Yesterday at 10:16 a.m. a fire was called in on a catamaran sailboat live aboard off Peninsula Avenue on Stock Island. Those aboard the boat were able to safety exit the boat. There were no reported injuries. The fire was contained to one boat in the marina and was extinguished within 30 minutes. The U.S. Coast Guard is on scene to help with containing any spills and the Key West Fire Department also assisted in the containment of the fire.
