Monroe County Extension Service to offer GI-BMP training

MONROE COUNTY, FL – Monroe County Extension Service will be hosting a two-day, virtual, Green Industries Best Management Practices (GI-BMP) training Thursday, September 9th and Friday, September 10th from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. This training is required for those that make commercial fertilizer applications and are seeking the Limited Certification through the Florida Department of Agriculture (FDACS).  Attendance for both days is required to be able to apply for the Limited Certification. The cost of the program is $10. Once the training is completed, there is an additional $15 exam fee through FDACS. Continuing Education credits for pesticide applicators are available, no exam required. Contact our office for more information at 305-292-4501. Registration is through Eventbrite.
