MONROE COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT CREATING VOLUNTEER ‘MONROE EMERGENCY RESERVE CORPS’

MONROE COUNTY, FL – Monroe County Emergency Management is creating a “Monroe Emergency Reserve Corps” that will be made up of volunteers with a variety of talents and skills who would like to help in time of emergency in the Keys.

Anyone who is interested in participating in the Monroe Emergency Reserve Corps is invited to attend the inaugural meeting.

MONROE EMERGENCY RESERVE CORPS INAUGURAL MEETING

When: Monday, May 21, 2018, 6 to 8 p.m.

Where: Marathon Government Center, BOCC Chambers, 2798 Overseas Highway in Marathon.

“This meeting will be an open discussion on how to best utilize the incredible untapped talents of our community and build a response capability that surpasses all expectations,” Monroe County Emergency Management Director Marty Senterfitt said. “Be part of the solution.”
