MICHELLE ROBINSON, SENIOR BIOLOGIST, NAMED MONROE COUNTY’S EMPLOYEE OF THE FOURTH QUARTER 2021

MONROE COUNTY, FL – Michelle Robinson, Senior Biologist in Planning and Environmental Resources, was named Monroe County’s employee of the fourth quarter 2021 for her exemplary service recognized in the community and by her co-workers.

Robinson worked long hours tirelessly to ensure that inspections were completed and permit review kept moving forward through Hurricane Irma and COVID, even with staff shortages. This is in addition to maintaining an excellent level of community service.

After a vacancy in Code Compliance, she also took on all restoration inspections and continues to take on tasks such as spearheading the effort to organize and maintain the Grant of Conservation Easements required by the County.

“Michelle is a true asset to Environmental Resources and the entire building department,” said Emily Schemper, Director of Planning and Environmental Resources. “She is notably courteous and professional with applicants and with members of the public. I have received positive feedback regarding Michelle from multiple members of the public, and I have never received a complaint about her, which is a significant accomplishment for anyone working in her position.”
