Man found dead in the water in Marathon

A 61-year-old man was found dead in the water Sunday afternoon off of Keys by the Sea RV/mobile home park, 6099 Overseas Highway, in Marathon.

The man was identified as Dana Lester Jourbert of 163 63rd Street, Marathon.

The Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene at 12:29 p.m. after witnesses saw Jourbert and were unable to remove him from the water.

Foul play does not appear to be a factor in the death.

Autopsy results are pending.
