Man dies following freediving-related incident  

An adult man found unresponsive in the water while freediving in waters just north of Key West, Florida died Thursday.

Release of the man’s name is pending notification of next of kin.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. The man was taken to U.S. Coast Guard Station Key West to waiting paramedics.

Foul play does not appear to be a factor.

Autopsy results are pending.
