Man cited for lobster violations
A 29-year-old Miami-Dade County man was given mandatory notice-to-appear in court citations Sunday for possessing undersized and over-the-limit lobsters.
Marine Deputy Willie Guerra was on patrol in the area of Duck Key when he observed a person, later identified as Alfredo Jimenez, diving without a dive flag near the Duck Key Boulevard Bridge.
Deputy Guerra inspected his cooler and found 11 lobsters with five being undersized.
Jimenez was cited for both violations.
