Man cited for illegal lobster

 A 30-old West Palm Beach man was cited Saturday for possessing 13 illegal lobster and other wildlife violations.

 Luke Pepe was given an notice to appear in court for possessing 13 undersized lobsters, not having a measuring device and possessing eight over-the-limit lobster.

 Marine Patrol Deputy Wilfredo Guerra saw two men near the Vaca Cut Bridge in Marathon harvesting lobster. Pepe said he was the one doing the harvesting. There were 14 lobsters in a dive bag. Thirteen of those were short. Neither man had a measuring device.

The daily, legal limit for lobster in Monroe County is six. Lobster season runs from Aug. 1 to March 31. The carapace of each lobster must be greater than three inches.
