Man Brandishes Gun at Mallory Square

A man was taken into custody Thursday evening after brandishing a gun during an altercation at Mallory Square.

Officers responded and immediately secured the weapon, which Stein had in a holster on his hip.

According to Stein, he was riding a one-wheel when another man attacked him. According to witness statements, Stein allegedly pulled the gun during the altercation.

William Christopher Stein, 33, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a firearm as well as criminal mischief due to storefront damage that occurred during the altercation.
