Man arrested on drug charge

The Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit conducted a narcotics investigation that led to the arrest of Travis Bernard Holton, 46, of Miami, for cocaine trafficking.

Holton was seen selling approximately an ounce of cocaine for $1,400 to another person at a Marathon gas station in July.

A warrant for his arrest was subsequently obtained.

Holton was arrested and booked into jail on Tuesday.

Body found in fishing boat  

A 37-year-old Stock Island liveaboard was found dead Monday in a commercial fishing vessel.

Lazaro Miguel Aurelio Rosell was found at approximately 10 a.m. in a boat on the 5000 block of 5th Avenue by another deckhand who was preparing the vessel for a fishing trip.

Foul play is not expected to be a factor.

Autopsy results are pending.
