Man arrested for pointing gun at juveniles

A 60-year-old Miami, Florida man was arrested Thursday for pointing a handgun at two teenagers on bicycles. There were no injuries reported.

Carlos Isidro Pol was charged with aggravated assault with a firearm and improper display of a firearm.

The Sheriff’s Office was called to Tradewinds Shopping Center in Key Largo at approximately 6:15 p.m. after Pol pointed a .380-caliber handgun at two juveniles — ages 13 and 14 —who were bicycles in the parking lot. The victims stated they were doing wheelies near the suspect’s blue BMW vehicle, but had no interaction with him.

Pol was stopped in the BMW on U.S. 1 near Mile Marker 102.5 and the handgun was recovered. He admitted to pointing the handgun at the victims.
