Man arrested for online threats

A 40-year-old Big Pine Key man was arrested Friday for posting motorcycle gang-related threats on the Facebook® social media website.

Adam Matthew Miller was charged with intimidation — writing or sending threats to kill or injure.

On Aug. 21, the Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit was provided a printout of a Facebook® post under the username Adam Miller of Big Pine Key.

The post was a photograph of Miller wearing a Pagan’s Motorcycle Club baseball cap and holding a knife.

The caption under the photograph stated: “Support Pagan’s MC or else! Support or life support! Sons of the Fire God coming to a neighborhood near you!”

Miller is known to Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit Detectives as a member of the Pagan’s Motorcycle Club based on his previous encounters with law enforcement.

DETECTIVES obtained a search warrant to search Miller’s Facebook® account and THEY confirmed it was Miller’s post.

A warrant was obtained for Miller’s arrest.

Miller was booked into jail Friday evening.
