Man arrested for indecent exposure

A 56-year-old Big Pine Key man was arrested Sunday for masturbating in front of a woman sunbathing.

Amado Dominguez-Quevedo was charged with exposure of sexual organs and aggravated battery.

Deputy Ty Torres responded to Horseshoe Beach at Mile Marker 35 near Big Pine Key at 4:45 p.m. regarding a fight in progress. He arrived to find several people restraining a male, later identified as Dominguez-Quevedo. Deputy Torres detained him and spoke to the female and male victims.

The female victim stated she was sunbathing when she fell asleep. She stated she awoke to someone moaning and saw the suspect standing near her, masturbating. She began screaming for help. Her boyfriend was snorkeling in the water, but exited and confronted the suspect. The boyfriend stated the suspect struck him and the two began fighting.

Eventually, the boyfriend got the suspect in choke hold, but Dominguez-Quevedo bit him.

Several witnesses corroborated the victims’ version of events.

Dominguez- Quevedo was taken to jail.
