Man arrested for assault  

A 73-year-old Big Coppitt Key, Florida man was arrested Wednesday after spitting on a woman and threatening to shoot her.

Larrie Stephen Busloff was charged with aggravated assault and battery.

The Sheriff’s Office was called to a residence on Avenue C at approximately 8:15 p.m. regarding a landlord/tenant dispute. The victim and the landlord live at the scene. An argument arose and Busloff spit in the face of the 43-year-old female victim.

He then reached into a knapsack and threatened to shoot the victim. A loaded 9mm handgun was recovered from the knapsack.

A witness corroborated the victim’s statements and Busloff was taken to jail without incident.
