LVA Seeks Volunteer Tutors In The Upper Keys

Upper Keys Literacy Volunteers of America (LVA) Tutor of the Month Chris Latronico (middle) and Students of the Month Kenia Garcia (left) and Alexander Hernandez (right) invite you to be a Literacy Volunteer.  LVA tutors work on a one-to-one and small group basis with students helping them improve reading, writing and English communication skills.  You do not need to know another language to be an LVA tutor, and all training is free of charge.  “I am so proud of my students,” Chris beams.  “Not only are they improving English communication skills, each have jobs, and they are moving forward in their future.”  The big smiles tell all.  For information on LVA programs in the Upper Keys contact Upper Keys Coordinator Sharon Plezia at 305-942-0125, email Sharon at [email protected] or visit their website lva-monroe.org
