Lower Keys Medical Center Welcomes Plastic Surgeon,
Dr. Jeffrey Weinzweig to its Medical Staff

Board certified in Plastic Surgery, Jeffrey Weinzweig, M.D., joins the Medical Staff at Lower Keys Medical Center in Key West, Florida.  He brings with him 18 years of plastic and reconstructive surgery experience to Key West and is currently the Chief of Craniofacial Surgery at the Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois and is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Illinois.

Dr. Jeffrey Weinzweig directs JW Plastic Surgery in both Florida and Illinois. It is his vision to create a diverse and well-rounded practice that provides consistently high quality cosmetic and reconstructive surgery services with patient-friendly policies while introducing a number of service lines to the Lower Keys community. Dr. Weinzweig performs the gamut of aesthetic surgery procedures as well as the full spectrum of hand surgery and craniofacial surgery.

A graduate from Columbia University, Dr. Weinzweig received his medical degree with Special Distinction for Research in Surgery from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1988.  He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Chicago and his plastic surgery residency at Brown University. He completed a fellowship in Hand Surgery at the University of Connecticut and a Craniofacial Surgery fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).

Over the past five years, Dr. Weinzweig has developed Headache Response, a highly successful migraine treatment program that he has now launched in Key West. In addition, he is enthusiastically developing the JW Center for Skin Cancer, which will diagnose and treat all types of skin conditions and skin cancers, and VeinBusters, a center for the treatment of varicose veins and painful veins.

Dr. Weinzweig has addressed professional colleagues at numerous symposia and workshops throughout the United States, Europe, Asia and Australia.  He is the author of 5 published textbooks and is currently editing two additional books.  His best-selling textbook, Plastic Surgery Secrets, has been translated into numerous languages. With over 200 journal articles and publications, his research extends to topics relating to plastic and reconstructive surgery, craniofacial surgery, aesthetic surgery, wound healing, and hand surgery.
