Lower Keys Medical Center Honors Physicians Through Community Donations

Key West, FL – April 3, 2017 – Each year on Doctors’ Day, March 30th, Lower Keys Medical Center’s administration and employees recognize the dedicated physicians who care for patients and their families. This year, the hospital hosted a physicians’ breakfast reception during which the medical staff received notes and posters signed by visitors and employees. In honor of the physicians, Lower Keys Medical Center administration donated $3,000 each to three not-for-profit organizations which were chosen by the medical staff. Receiving their donations from members of the Medical Staff Executive Committee are:

  • Monroe Association for ReMARCable Citizens, Inc., which provides services to adult clients within Monroe County who have developmental disabilities. Services are designed to insure that each client receives training and support to enhance his or her abilities as well as medical and therapeutic supervision.   • Wesley House Family Services, which is dedicated to protecting and nurturing children and strengthening families with services spanning Monroe County.   • Samuel’s House, Inc., which serves as a safe haven in a sober setting for women and intact families that have no home. Programs include Mary Spottswood Women’s Center, Kathy’s Hope and Casa de Meredith.
