Local Miami-Dade Leaders Named To Florida Taxwatch Board of Trustees

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida TaxWatch, the state’s premier non-profit, non-partisan research institute and government watchdog, named local Miami-Dade County leaders to its Board of Trustees at its 37th Annual Meeting last month.

Former Executive Director of the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity Jesse Panuccio (Foley and Lardner, LLP), along with Eric Eikenberg (Everglades Foundation) and Amelia Maguire (REA International), will be distinguished leaders and members of the Florida TaxWatch Board of Trustees “I’m excited to welcome these new members onto the Florida TaxWatch Board of Trustees,” said Florida TaxWatch President and CEO Dominic M. Calabro. “Each one of them is a true leader in their communities and businesses and will serve with honor and distinction.”

Additionally, TaxWatch’s Board of Trustees unanimously elected SunTrust Bank’s David Mann of Jacksonville as chairman. The Board selected former State Senator Pat Neal of Neal Communities (Sarasota) as Chairman-Elect, former U.S. Senator George LeMieux of Gunster (Ft. Lauderdale) as Corporate Treasurer, and Piyush Patel of Kyra Solutions (Lakeland) as Corporate Secretary.

The Board also welcomed the following civic-minded leaders from the Sunshine State as members of the Florida TaxWatch Board of Trustees:
