It’s time to vote. Early voting has begun in Monroe County. Please take this opportunity to make your voice heard.

Remember that your vote is vital for local offices, state offices, and the four proposed constitutional amendments.  If you want to know more about Florida’s senate candidates, Florida’s proposed constitutional amendments, or Florida’s Supreme Court Justices, check out bereadytovote.org for nonpartisan, fact-based information.

By this time in the election, most of us are tired of the constant coverage of the presidential campaigns. Don’t let the polls convince you the election is over. In the 2000 presidential election George Bush was declared the winner over Al Gore in Florida by 537 votes. In 2012 Barack Obama won Florida with 50.01% of the vote versus Mitt Romney’s 49.13%. Your vote matters. So whatever your concerns are, please vote to preserve our democracy.
