It doesn’t feel like American democracy and governance are becoming “great again”. Fortunately, Americans can still disagree and debate policies, but when the US is attacked by Russia and our President responds by coddling Putin and attacking Canada (!), it should raise questions about treason in the minds of every citizen.
Historians must now determine if Benedict Arnold should relinquish his place in our pantheon as our number one traitor and betrayer, and whoever the experts used to consider the worst US president in history, has now been reduced to a second place footnote.
How long must this nightmare continue before America’s youth, and other sensible people, rise up and restore our nation’s politicians and institutions – like truth, trust and honor – to their rightful standards?
