Letter to the Editor / Chaos in the U. S. Postal system

I’m in New York doing some personal business.  Knowing that I won’t be in Key West on Tuesday, August 18th–election day–I ordered an absentee ballot which was mailed first class on July 23rd, 19 days ago.  It has not arrived.

In an abundance of caution,  I ordered a second ballot which was mailed from Key West on July 31st, 11 days ago.  It has not arrived.

Keys’ voters can use this informational intelligence to do the right thing this week.  If you can deliver your “vote from home” ballot to the elections offices this week, please do so. If you can’t, call Fedex or UPS, and make sure your vote is counted!  Or, just vote early if you can.
