LEAGUE TO SPONSOR EIGHT VOTER REGISTRATION EVENTS

KEY WEST – The Lower Key chapter of the League of Women Voters will sponsor eight voter registration events in October and November. In addition to registration, the league will help with online registration, obtaining mail ballots, changing addresses and checking vote-by-mail status.

The league can also help returning citizens who have been convicted of a felony with restoration of their voting rights. The league offers free assistance to research steps required for restoration.

Voter registration events to be held at the Coral City Elks Lodge, 1107 Whitehead St., are:

noon-2 p.m., Oct. 12;
6-8 p.m., Oct. 17;
noon-2 p.m., Nov. 9;
6-8 p.m., Nov. 14.

Voter registration events to be held at the Professional Building, 1111 12th St., are:

9 a.m.-noon, Oct. 1;
9-noon; Oct. 21;
9-noon, Nov. 1;
9-noon, Nov. 21.
