League of Women Voters sponsors Mosquito Control event

The Monroe County Mosquito Control Commission tackles some of the county’s most pressing public safety issues and is frequently at the center of its most controversial issues. From dengue fever to zika, from spraying to neighborhood inspections, the commission and its staff are stewards of the public trust.

Learn more about this powerful and important county service when the Lower Keys chapter of the League of Women Voters welcomes executive director Andrea Leaf to its Fifth Tuesday event.

Fifth Tuesdays provide members and guests an opportunity to talk with community leaders in an informal setting. Our guests make short prepared remarks and answer questions from our members. Enjoy a cash bar and networking from 5-5:30 p.m. The event is free.
