KW Community Sailing Center: A Talk on Sailing Faster. 

At its Friday Evening Social on February 22nd, Henry DeGroot, Carlos Rojas, each with extensive racing experience and winners of Schooner Wharf’s Wreckers’ Races and David Brockbank, an international racer of Finn sailboats, will explain what it takes to sail faster. The discussion will include weather and water conditions, reading wind, clouds and water, apparent wind and sail trim, helm control along with sail trim and crew management to improve speed and performance. This talk will include information and advice for anyone who is serious about sailing: beginners to experienced sailors included. The Social begins at 6pm and the lecture at 6:30.
