Key West Woman’s Club to Host Historic Days Celebration at the Hellings Curry Museum

The Key West Woman’s Club is excited  to announce  Key West Historic Days Celebration, a four-day event marking the Woman’s Club’s 110th year anniversary and celebrating the history of Key West. The festivities will be held at the Hellings Curry Museum, the home of the Key West Woman’s Club, from April 3–6, 2025.

The event will shine a spotlight on the Club’s long history of community service while celebrating Key West’s unique culture and heritage.

About the Key West Woman’s Club

Since 1915, the Key West Woman’s Club has been a driving force for good in the community from building libraries, women’s rights, and starting then funding local charities, the club’s mission has always been about giving back and making a difference!

The Hellings Curry Museum is a historic Queen Anne-style home that has stood as a landmark in Key West since 1892. Today, it serves as the home of the Key West Woman’s Club and a place to preserve and celebrate the island’s history.

Event Highlights:

  • Historic Tours: Explore the Hellings Curry Museum, Oldest House Museum, Curry Mansion inn with guided tours that delve into its storied past and its significance in Key West history.
  • Events: Saturday market, festival, Sunday Tea Party.
  • Keynote Speaker Series: Renowned local historians and authors will share insights into the evolution of Key West and the pivotal role of the Woman’s Club.
  • Exhibits and Displays: View curated exhibits showcasing artifacts, photographs, and memorabilia from the Key West Woman’s Club archives.
  • Live Performances: Enjoy traditional music and theatrical reenactments bringing the history of Key West to life.
  • Pre Kick Off Event: In conjunction with the Tropic Cinema, there will be a series of films documenting Key West’s exciting history.
  • Gala Dinner: After Party Dance the night away at the closing. The Gala Dinner is cocktail party with cake and dancing with Conch Fusion.
