Key West Sunrise Rotary honors Leamard; installs president, board

Key West Sunrise Rotary honored Warren Leamard, owner of Destination Catering and Events, as Rotarian of the Year during an awards and installation ceremony at its yearend banquet on June 30. During his term as membership chair, the club added a record 15 new, transferring and returning members.

Installed as president for 2018-19 was George Wallace, Key West assistant city attorney and board members Jeremy Wilkerson, president elect; David Geller, treasurer; Trice Denny, secretary; Gena Parsons, immediate past president; George Lindner, parliamentarian; Matt Babich, sergeant-at-arms; Warren Leamard, membership; David Clay, attendance; Carl Stevens, club administration; Kirby Chambers, scholarships; Sean McCoy, programs; Scott Russell, community service; Brian Doe, Rotary Foundation chair; and Frank Wood.

The Key West Sunrise Rotary Club in the Conch Republic, established in 1988, provides community service, supports charities and funds college scholarships through events including BrewFest and a golf tournament. The club meets on Fridays at 7 a.m. at the Marriott Beachside Hotel.
