Key West Sunrise Rotary awards $29,000 in scholarships
Key West Sunrise Rotary awarded four scholarships totaling $39,000 to 2019 graduates who exhibit leadership, community involvement, and academic and athletic achievement. Receiving scholarships are Dana Dauletgalikyzy, Key West Sunrise Rotary Scholarship; Becca Maun, Eckwood H. Solomon/Glynn Archer Memorial Scholarship; Francesca Carbone, Sunrise Rotary Memorial Scholarship; and Hugo Tasayco, Mike Horne Lineman of the Year Scholarship.
The Key West Sunrise Rotary Club in the Conch Republic, established in 1988, provides community service, supports charities and funds college scholarships through events including BrewFest and a golf tournament. The club meets on Fridays at 7 a.m. at the Marriott Beachside Hotel.
