MONROE COUNTY, FL — In a recent case, Vladimir Andrew Prokhodnoy, 41, of Key West, entered a plea of no contest and was adjudicated guilty of Felony Battery before Circuit Judge Mark Jones.
The charge arose from an April 20, 2025 incident in Key West in which the defendant unlawfully touched two adult women without their consent. The investigation conducted by the Key West Police Department included witness statements, surveillance video evidence, and additional corroborating evidence. The defendant was subsequently identified and arrested following the investigation.
Judge Jones sentenced Prokhodnoy to 60 months of probation and imposed numerous special conditions. Those conditions include completion of a court-approved sex offender treatment program, submission of a DNA sample to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, warrantless searches by probation authorities, HIV testing as required by law, and a permanent no-contact order with the victims. The court also prohibited any early termination of probation. Should Prokhodnoy fail to successfully complete the terms of his probation, he faces the possibility of up to five years in state prison.
In addition, the defendant was ordered to pay court costs, prosecution costs, investigation costs, supervision costs, and other mandatory assessments totaling $940.00.

The sentence imposed by the court includes significant supervision and treatment requirements designed to protect the community and hold the defendant accountable for his actions.”
