Key West Man Arrested for Selling Cocaine
On January 25th the Key West Police Department’s Special Investigations arrested Key West resident Rony de Jesus Rodriguez-Medina, 27, on multiple warrants related to narcotics sales.
On multiple occasions, Rodriguez-Medina sold undercover operatives powder cocaine. The street value of the cocaine is more than $6,750.
Rodriguez-Medina faces seven felony counts including two counts of sale of cocaine within 1000 feet of a place of worship, two counts of trafficking cocaine, and three counts of use of a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony. At the time of arrest his vehicle, which was used to facilitate the sale of the narcotics, was also seized along with a loaded pistol.
Rodriguez-Medina is being held at the Monroe County Detention Center on a $465,000 bond.
